An oval emerald hangs from each ear on a loose link, swinging clear of the white gold bar above it. That bar is the other half of the design, a narrow curve of 10K white gold pave set with small round diamonds, and it catches light in a thin bright line at the top of the lobe while the green moves underneath it.
The emeralds sit in four slim prongs with open backs, so light passes through the stones instead of bouncing off a closed seat, and the green stays bright rather than going dark at the base. At 19 by 7 millimeters the pair keeps a narrow profile against the ear.
