A round emerald sits in four prongs at the center, and what surrounds it is not a plain collar but a scalloped white gold frame with a run of small diamonds set along each curve. The scallops break the outline into lobes, softening the circle of the emerald and widening the head of the ring without adding any height to it.
The shank splits just below the shoulders, and each arm carries one more small diamond before the two halves rejoin beneath the finger. In 14K white gold the green is the only color anywhere on the ring. Sized at 7 US, it reads as a small ring that is busier than its measurements suggest.
