Eighty-six oval chrome diopside stones are set east to west in one unbroken riviera line, each in its own four claw head, close enough that the green never stops for metal. The color is a vivid grass green rather than a dark one, and set in a continuous run at this size it circles the neck as a solid band.
Set in sterling silver, the framework is kept as narrow as the 5 by 3 millimeter stones allow, so from any distance the necklace reads as green and not as silver. The full length is 18 inches, which drops the line just below the base of the throat.
