An oval green tourmaline sits at the center of each earring in four yellow gold claws, ringed by a dense halo of small round diamonds held in white metal. The halo runs tight to the stone with the accents nearly touching, so the frame reads as one continuous bright edge, and the gold claws stay visible right on the green instead of disappearing into the surround.
Forty diamonds across the pair against 1.70 carats of tourmaline leaves the color leading: the green is deep and forest toned, darkening toward the rim of each oval. The finished earring measures ten by eight and a half millimeters and stands five millimeters deep, so the halo sits slightly proud of the lobe.
