A cluster of natural color fills this ring: purple amethyst set beside two opals, an Ethiopian and another, each catching the light in its own way. A small scatter of diamonds adds a cooler sparkle among the softer stones. Held in sterling silver at just over five and a half carats, it was assembled once and never repeated.
