A round turquoise cabochon holds the middle of this cluster, circled first by a tight halo of small white stones and then by a full outer ring of pear cut blue stones set point inward, so the head opens across the finger like a flower in bloom. More than twenty stones sit in the mount altogether, not the handful the carat list might suggest. The cabochon returns one soft even pool of light while the faceted blues around it break light into separate flashes, and that contrast is what the ring is really built on.
It is a full cocktail head, wide enough to cover the base of the finger and to stand well above it, with the sterling silver kept dark and narrow between the stones so the color carries the piece. Sized at 7 US.
