Nine faceted oval opals build the face of this ring, one at the center with eight more set close around it in a low dome, each on its own prongs. Green, blue and pink move across them as the hand turns, and since the play of color lies at a different angle in every stone, they never all fire at once.
The cluster reads far wider than 2.14 carats would suggest, because that weight is divided across nine shallow ovals instead of concentrated in one. Sterling silver keeps the mounting plain, a tapered band rising into open prong work, and the ring is sized 5 US.
