Oval orange sapphires make the full circuit of this line bracelet, each one set east to west so its long axis follows the wrist, and between every stone sits a short white gold bar bead set with small round diamonds. The color is not uniform along the run, which is the interest of it: some ovals sit at a pale golden yellow, others at a deep saturated orange, and the two registers are shuffled around the band rather than running in even sequence from one end to the other. Something over twenty sapphires make the circuit.
The 14K white gold keeps every edge cool and lets the orange do all the talking. A hinged box clasp with a figure eight safety closes it flush into the line, and at 7 inches the band lies flat around the wrist instead of standing away from it.
