The tourmaline is an oval of clean, cool pink, and it hangs inside a ring of small round diamonds that circles it without touching, so a thread of open space shows between stone and frame. More diamonds continue up through the link and the bail above, drawing a bright line down onto the stone.
White gold keeps the pink crisp instead of warming it toward peach. At 23 by 13 millimeters the pendant reads as a single clear drop at the neck, 3.68 carats of tourmaline against 0.20 carats of diamonds spread between the frame and the bail.
