An oval blue sapphire takes the center, ringed by a complete halo of round brilliant diamonds. Each halo stone sits in its own set of claws, so the outline breaks into small points and reads as a sunburst rather than a smooth frame. The effect widens the head well past the sapphire itself.
The shank is plain and tapers gently as it rises into the halo, which keeps everything on the head of the ring. In 10K white gold the metal stays neutral and lets the blue carry. Sized at 7 US, it sits proud of the finger.
