A round sapphire sits at the center in four broad white gold claws, and two concentric rows of round diamonds surround it, an inner ring tight against the stone and an outer ring out at the rim. Four bars of metal run outward from the claws and cut that double halo into quadrants, which squares the outline so the head reads as a cushion rather than a circle.
The sapphire is dark, close to navy anywhere the light does not enter it straight on, and the two rows of white push the blue forward instead of blending with it. The shank is wide and flat, tapering only a little as it rises into the head. Sized at 7 US.
