All Gemstones are Natural in Origin
Each earring is two openwork silver discs hung one below the other. The small upper disc carries four round tanzanites around a pierced center, and the larger disc beneath it is scattered with close to twenty more, set into a lattice of silver so that light passes straight through the piece.
Because the ground is open rather than solid, the violet blue reads as points floating in space instead of a paved surface. The pair measures 26 by 17 millimeters, and since the medallion swings from the top disc it moves separately from the part fixed at the lobe.
