Each drop is a single pear cut tanzanite ringed by a close halo of small white topaz, the point of the pear turned downward so the shape tapers toward the bottom of the earring. The tanzanite reads violet at one angle and blue at the next, and the white stones around it hold the outline crisp against that shift.
A short silver link joins the halo to a lever back fitting, making up 28 millimeters of total length with nearly all the color gathered in the lower third. The silver prongs are kept fine so the frame never crowds the center stone.
