The heart here is the setting, not the stone. Each earring frames a trillion cut tanzanite inside a heart shaped double surround, an inner beaded row and an outer row of small round diamonds, so the violet blue triangle sits within a white outline.
Three claws hold each tanzanite at its corners and leave the pavilion open to the light. At 11 millimeters square the pair reads as a compact stud, with the shape registering before the color does.
