A cushion cut tanzanite sits inside a squared diamond frame whose corners are pierced and stepped, so the outline reads closer to a small shield than a plain halo. The stone shifts between blue and violet as it turns, and the frame holds that movement at the center of the pendant.
White gold runs through the whole setting and the fine cable chain above it, cool enough to leave the color to itself. The pendant measures 20 by 12 millimeters, 2.38 carats of tanzanite with 0.10 carats of diamonds worked around it.
