The tanzanite is a trillion, a rounded triangle whose facets run from the center out to each of the three sides, and at 2.86 carats it takes up almost the whole face of the pendant. A halo of round diamonds follows that triangular outline point for point rather than settling for a circle around it, which is what gives the drop its silhouette. Blue reads first, with violet lifting from underneath as the pendant turns on the chain.
14K white gold keeps everything cool, so nothing in the setting warms the stone or pulls it toward purple. At 21 by 14 millimeters this is a compact pendant that sits high on the chest, and the bail is plain and tapered on purpose, leaving the triangle as the only shape in view.
