An oval tanzanite of 2.76 carats sits in four slim claws inside a single halo of round diamonds. What carries the design is what happens next: each shoulder widens into three parallel rows of pavé that taper as they run toward the finger, so the brightness fans outward from the halo instead of stopping at it. Seen from above the head and shoulders read as one continuous field of white with the blue set into the middle of it.
All of it is 14K white gold, the neutral choice and the right one here, since nothing in the metal pushes the stone toward purple or flattens the blue out. The 0.32 carats of diamond is distributed across the halo and those six rows, which is why the ring covers far more of the finger than the tanzanite alone would suggest. Sized at 7 US.
