A trillion cut tanzanite of 2.94 carats sets the geometry of this ring, its three sides softened at the corners and its color shifting from deep violet across the crown to a clearer blue toward the lower point. A halo of round brilliant diamonds totaling 0.26 carats follows the triangle exactly, corner for corner, so the head reads as one broad shield rather than a stone with a border added.
14K white gold keeps the palette cool and gives the blue nothing warm to argue with. The shank is plain and slightly tapered, opening into a raised gallery that lifts the halo clear of the finger and lets light in under the stone. Sized 7 US.
