The interest on this one is below the stone. Each shoulder splits into two bands that cross over one another in a woven X, one strand pavé set in white metal and the other left as plain yellow gold, with open windows showing through the weave. That crossover runs from the halo all the way out to the finger on both sides, so the ring reads wide across the hand without sitting any higher.
The center is an oval tanzanite of 3.14 carats held in four gold claws and ringed by a single halo of round diamonds. Blue leads at the table with violet gathering toward the narrow ends of the oval. Of the 0.36 carats of diamond, only part sits in the halo; the rest is out on the split shank, which is where the design actually spends its light. Sized at 7 US.
