Each stud holds a cushion cut tanzanite in a full rub over bezel, and that bezel sits inside a squared silver frame stepped in two tiers. The result is a soft square set within a soft square, the violet blue centered in the middle of both.
At 13 millimeters across they cover a good part of the lobe. A closed bezel returns light off the table rather than through the sides, so the color reads deep and even instead of flashing.
