An oval yellow sapphire of honeyed gold is prong set inside a full oval of small round diamonds. The frame stands slightly clear of the stone rather than hugging it, so a fine line of open space runs between the two and the halo reads as a separate ring of light around the sapphire.
That frame is finished bright white, while the bail and the chain above it stay yellow, and the two tones meet at the top of the setting. At 20 by 11 millimeters the pendant sits compact at the base of the throat, 1.58 carats of sapphire outlined by 0.16 carats of diamonds.
