Each earring centers an emerald cut emerald, long step facets running the length of the stone and the corners clipped, gripped by four heavy yellow gold prongs. The green is deep and faintly blue, and the broad flat table lets the eye travel straight down into the body of the stone.
A single row of round brilliant diamonds rings each emerald, following those clipped corners so the halo outlines an elongated octagon rather than a plain rectangle. Yellow gold beads hold the small stones and carry warmth right up to the green. At 8 by 6 millimeters the pair sits tight to the lobe and reads as color first, sparkle second.
