Four white opal cabochons sit in an openwork silver frame built from four teardrop lobes, two turning up and two turning down, so the head reads as a pinwheel rather than a symmetrical flower. Each opal is domed and unfaceted, catching one soft sheen across its surface instead of breaking light into separate points.
The lobes are bright cut and finished with rows of small silver beads, which gives the frame a granular glitter that plays against the smooth opal without competing with it. The shank crosses under the head in a bypass and stays narrow, so the ring reads wide across the finger while sitting close to it. Sized 8 US.
