An oval opal cabochon holds the middle inside a fine diamond halo, and from there the ring opens into a flower: a full wreath of further oval opal cabochons set as petals, each in its own claw, with pierced diamond scrollwork filling the gaps between them. The outline is lobed rather than round, and the face covers most of the width of the finger.
Each cabochon plays color on its own schedule, so pinks, greens and blues come up in different petals as the hand moves while the center stone holds a steadier sheet of light. The metal is dark in tone, which drops the framework back and pushes the pale opals forward. Size 7.
