An oval opal cabochon sits at the middle of this cocktail ring, its dome returning a soft, moving wash of blue and green across the whole surface rather than isolated flashes. Around it runs a complete ring of London blue topaz, oval and pear cuts laid petal fashion in two overlapping tiers, so the deep blue closes the center in on every side. Fine white stones trace both the inner collar and the outer scallops, drawing a bright seam between the pale center and the dark border.
The head reads as a broad oval that covers most of the finger between the knuckles, full cocktail scale. A warm yellow tone shows in the metal directly under the opal, set against the white of the surrounding gallery.
