The face is laid out as a flower. An oval opal cabochon holds the middle, eight oval London blue topaz sit around it as petals, and a pavé line of diamonds traces the scalloped outline of every one of them. The opal turns green, rose and gold across its dome as the hand moves, while the topaz stays a steady inky blue that keeps the cluster anchored.
At 6.34 carats total the head is broad, covering the width of the finger at size 7, and the white metal holds the blue and the opal apart instead of blending them.
