Six faceted tourmalines radiate from a round opal cabochon to form a six point star, and the colors are deliberately mixed rather than sequenced: teal and deep green on one axis, two pinks on another, a blue so dark it reads almost black at the side. Every petal is outlined in small white pave and another line of it follows the outer points, so each color is held inside its own bright border.
The opal sits flush in the middle as a warm cream dome with color drifting under its surface as the hand moves. Broad and openly built in white metal, the head reaches from one side of the finger to the other and stands well up off it. 5.62 carats in total, 0.86 of that carried by the diamonds.
