Built as a round disc and read like a mosaic. A round opal cabochon sits at the hub, and the multicolor tourmalines are scattered around it in marquise, oval and round cuts, pink next to teal next to yellow green, with openwork left between the stones and a pavé rim closing the circle.
Diamonds are set in small bursts in the gaps, so light keeps moving through the open spaces instead of stopping at the metal. The opal answers whichever tourmaline is nearest, flashing green and rose as the hand turns. The face is wide and flat, spanning the finger at size 7.
