A round opal cabochon holds the center, its dome even and milky white in this light, returning a steady glow across the whole surface rather than isolated flashes. Around it runs a ring of small violet blue tanzanites, pear cut with the points turned outward, and between each pair sits a slender pointed accent in white that reads as a spike of light. The finished head is a sunburst, round and symmetrical.
Sterling silver keeps the metal quiet so the violet ring and the pale center carry the piece. The opal measures 2.44 carats, the tanzanite 1.66 carats across the surround, and a further 0.10 carats of white topaz sharpens the setting.
