Ten carats of opal are cut here as smooth oval domes rather than faceted stones, set one after another in narrow four prong heads so the line is unbroken from clasp to clasp. The bodies read as a soft, solid white with a faint warmth in them, and because a cabochon gathers light across its whole curve rather than splitting it, the bracelet returns an even glow instead of glitter.
Sterling silver is the right foil for that: bright, cool and narrow enough that the white stones carry the width of the band themselves. Seven inches keeps it close to the wrist, closed with a box clasp and safety catch.
