This is a wide band rather than a face up ring. Square cut orange sapphires sit channel set flush with the metal, and the run is broken into three separate sections by two raised polished silver bars that cross the band like clasps. The stones do not form one continuous row; they read as three short bright blocks with silver between them, which gives the ring an architectural, almost buckled profile from the side.
The color is a warm amber orange with a coral edge, and it stays lively because each square sits low and level with the rhodium plated sterling silver around it. Just over a carat is spread across nine stones, so the band keeps a slim, even height on the finger and never rises to a crown.
