The orange is the reason to look. This spessartite garnet holds a saturated red orange across the table and lifts toward gold where the crown facets tip into the light, and at 8 by 6 millimeters the oval fills the head completely.
Around it the halo is set with every diamond in its own claw, which pushes small metal points out past the circle and leaves the surround spiked and sunburst rather than smoothly rimmed. From there the 14K yellow gold band runs plain to the back with no pave on the shoulders at all, so nothing competes with the center. The head stands 6 millimeters tall over a 10.5 by 12.5 millimeter footprint, and the ring comes at size 7 US.
