Every wing is a stone here: two marquise cut peridots for the upper pair, two pear cuts below, set point to point around a small silver bead at the body so the four of them together draw the butterfly. A beaded silver border follows the outer edge of the wings, and two fine antennae curve up from the top where the charm takes the fitting.
The green is light and leans yellow, brighter than an olive, and it holds the same tone from one wing to the next. At 30 by 11 millimeters the butterflies hang from lever backs and sit just clear of the lobe, turning as they swing.
