Each earring is a small gold tone huggie hoop with a length of fine chain hanging from it, and at the end of that chain a spider: a pear cut peridot for the body, a smaller round peridot for the head, and eight legs modeled one by one, bent and splayed out to either side. The detail in the legs is what gives the figure its scale at 40 by 9 millimeters.
The green is a bright olive, warm rather than cool, and it holds its own against the gold plating that wraps it on every side. Because the spider hangs from chain instead of being fixed to the hoop, it swings clear of the ear as you move.
