A broad rectangular pink opal of 10.30 carats is set east to west across the finger in four gold plated corner prongs, with a triangular lapis lazuli cabochon fitted hard against each of its short sides, 1.84 carats for the pair.
The opal has no facets. It is a smooth tablet, an even flat pink with none of the fire the word opal usually suggests, and that flatness is exactly what lets the two lapis read so strongly against it. The lapis are a dense navy with gold touching them at the settings. Three stones in a row, wide side to side rather than tall, covering a good part of the finger. Size 8.
