This is a ballerina setting. An oval pink topaz sits in claws at the middle, ringed first by a close halo of small round white topaz and then by a full skirt of tapered baguettes that fan outward all the way around, longer at the flanks than at the ends, so the head reads as a pleated disc rather than a plain halo. Forty-six stones in the two rows against the one in the middle.
The ring is openly two toned: the head and both rows of white stones are white metal, while the claws gripping the pink topaz and the plain rounded shank are yellow gold plated. The pink is vivid rather than pale, nearer raspberry than blush, and the gold at the claws pushes it warmer still. At a size 8 the disc covers the finger from side to side.
