An emerald cut pink topaz of just over seven carats takes up nearly the whole face of this ring, its step cut facets returning long flat planes of color rather than scatter. Three small round white topaz sit on each shoulder in a short tapered line, six in all, and the shank splits open beneath the head so light passes under the stone. The pink is strong and clear, closer to a hot rose than a pastel.
Four corner claws in rhodium plated silver hold the topaz square across the finger, and the rectangle covers it corner to corner.
