These are cabochons rather than faceted stones. Each stud is a cushion shaped dome of pink topaz with a smooth unbroken surface, held by four slim prongs in white metal. A dome returns one soft moving glow across the top instead of the scattered flashes a cut crown throws, and the color here runs deep raspberry rather than pale.
At 7 by 7 millimeters they sit flush to the lobe, 2.58 carats between the two, with nothing else on the setting to pull attention.
