Every one of the thirty-two rhodolites is a pear cut, and they are laid points outward in a rhombus that runs lengthwise up the finger. Eight form a rosette at the middle, turned so their tips converge on a single bright point at the center, and the rest step outward in rows until the outline narrows again to one pear at the top and one at the bottom. Silver claws show clearly between the stones, which makes this an open radiating cluster rather than a solid field of color.
Rhodolite carries more pink in it than a common red garnet, and the raspberry tone here holds steady from the center rosette out to the tips. Seven and a half carats across a face far wider than the shank puts this squarely in statement ring territory at a size 7.
