All Gemstones are Natural in Origin
Four rhodolite garnets form each butterfly: a pair of marquise cuts angled up and out as the top wings, and a pair of pears set point inward beneath them, the raspberry red running consistent across all four stones. Fine white metal beading traces the outline of every wing and gathers into a body between them, with two thin antennae curling off the head.
Sterling silver throughout, 30 by 11 millimeters, hung from hinged leverbacks so each butterfly tips slightly forward and moves as the wearer does. The red is deep enough to keep its identity at a distance instead of washing out toward pink.
