The rhodolite garnet is a deep red oval with a purple cast, held in four prongs with nothing framing it at all. The diamonds sit away from the stone instead, in three narrow curved rows that step down each shoulder toward the band, so the sides of the ring stay bright while the outline of the garnet is left clean.
White gold suits that split, cool at the shoulders and clear where it meets the red. There are 2.72 carats in the center against 0.12 carats of small diamonds at the sides, in a size 7.
