Marquise cut rubies lie east to west along this bracelet, and between each pair the white gold is worked into an open twisted link, two ribbons crossing over one another like a flattened figure eight. The red therefore arrives in pointed ovals rather than as an unbroken row, each stone set off by a span of openwork on either side.
The points of the marquises meet those twists head on, which keeps the eye moving down the line. Nothing else is set into this bracelet, so the rubies carry all of the color on their own. At 7 inches it fastens with a box clasp and a hinged safety catch.
