Marquise rubies alternate with broad openwork gold links on this bracelet, and the links are worked as flowing X shapes wide enough to hold their own against the stones. The result is roughly half color and half metal along the length, a different balance from a stone to stone line.
All 4.98 carats belong to the rubies; nothing else is set into the piece. The 10K yellow gold surrounds each marquise on both sides, so the red is framed rather than simply strung. Seven inches, with a box clasp and a hinged safety catch.
