The diamonds are not scattered here, they are lined up. Each marquise ruby is followed by a slanted white gold ribbon bead set with a neat row of tiny diamonds, and that pairing repeats the whole way around, ruby then ribbon, ruby then ribbon. The stones sit at an angle to the band rather than square to it.
There are 7.58 carats of ruby to 0.16 carats of diamond, so the red dominates while the white does the work of separating one marquise from the next. The 10K white gold keeps the color clean and slightly cool. Seven inches, closed by a box clasp with a hinged safety catch.
