Marquise cut rubies sit on a slant along this bracelet, and between each pair runs a white gold leaf shape set with small diamonds down its length, tilted to the same angle. What you get is a diagonal rhythm around the wrist, a red navette then a white leaf, instead of a straight row of stones sitting square to the band.
Two colors of gold are at work: yellow through the body, the links and the clasp, white through the diamond set leaves. That builds more contrast into the piece than the yellow gold alone would suggest, with the rubies reading warm and the leaves cool immediately beside them. At 7 inches the bracelet closes with a concealed box clasp and a hinged safety catch.
