The rubies here are pears rather than ovals, laid on their sides with the points alternating direction down the line so each teardrop nests against the broad end of the next. A round diamond sits in every gap where two points come together, which is exactly where the eye lands as it travels along the wrist.
Nearly half a carat of diamond is a real quantity set against more than eight carats of ruby, enough that the white reads as a second element in the design instead of a scattering of accents. In 14K white gold the two stay sharply separated. At 7 inches the bracelet closes with a concealed box clasp and a hinged safety catch.
