Each drop is built as a navette shaped cluster. Marquise cut rubies radiate outward in rows from a single oval ruby at the middle and taper to a point at the base. Above the hinge sits a smaller trefoil, one oval flanked by two marquise stones, and that is the part that fastens at the lobe. The earring reads in two pieces and swings from the joint between them.
The red carries a pink cast rather than going dark, and rhodium plated silver keeps every prong bright in the narrow gaps between stones. Forty rubies across the pair at 4.10 carats means the light comes back in many small returns instead of two large ones. At 28 by 10 millimeters the drops clear the lobe and stay in motion.
