A slim straight bar of bead set diamonds hangs from the post, six to a side, and below it a small jump ring carries an oval ruby in a four claw mount. The diamonds sit in one clean vertical line rather than scattered through the mount, which gives each earring a spine and lets the ruby swing free at the bottom of it.
The proportion is the appeal: 0.05 carats of diamond above against 1.65 carats of ruby below, so the white reads as a thin bright stroke and the red carries all the visual weight. Each earring runs 19 millimeters long and 7 wide, narrow enough to stay close to the jaw while still moving. The 14K white gold keeps the whole frame cool against the color.
