White gold splits this design into two clear parts: a line of six small diamonds running down the curved bar at the top, an open link, then the oval ruby hanging free below. Metal and diamonds share the same cool register, which leaves the red as the only warm element on the ear.
Each stone is held by four claws reaching up from the girdle, with the back of the setting left open. Nineteen by seven millimeters keeps the drop narrow, and it hangs close rather than swinging wide.
