Two rubies to each earring: an oval prong set at the top inside a leaf shaped gold frame, and a pear hanging free beneath it on a short link. Between them, two bands of pavé set diamonds cross in a ribbon that sweeps under the oval and doubles back on itself, which puts the brightness through the middle of the earring rather than at either end.
14K yellow gold does all the drawing here, warming both rubies and outlining the crossover with polished edges. At 17 by 7 millimeters this is a small earring, solid gold and close to the lobe, with just enough length in the pear to move.
